A former member of large angel investment groups in California, investing in companies such as Jump Bikes (acquired by Uber), VayaVision (acquired by Leddar Tech Company), Hyperloop-One, Papaya Payments, Movo Cash, among many other successful cases. Building on this experience as an angel investor and mentor, he has judged several pitch competitions in Silicon Valley, New York and Florida.
Roberto also co-founded and leads Betablocks, a white-label platform for tokenizing assets, including NFTs, which received funding from VC funds from the US and Brazil.
Previously, he was an Executive for Michael WME IMG and Banco Santander.
He holds a double major in Management and Economics from the University of Wittenberg, with MBAs from the EU Business School and Coppead UFRJ. He also holds a degree in Venture Capital from the University of California at Berkeley, Haas School of Business.

He led BUs from multinational companies such as Shell and Akzo Nobel in Latin America and the Caribbean with presence in countries such as Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Peru and Colombia. He had full P&L responsibility over these businesses, including direct responsibility for Business development, Sales, Marketing, manufacturing, and logistics.
In addition to many years of experience pitching products, solutions and projects to clients, distributors, and the board of his companies, he had the opportunity to lead M&A projects in different countries taking an active role in due diligence processes.
